One of our values at Locaria is “Doing some good along the way”. Indeed, we try to give back to society and different communities as we go.

Which is why last week, one of our in-house linguistics experts went back to her university – as a 2011 alumna – to advise students on how to make the most of their time at Nottingham Trent University, and how to prepare themselves to enter the job market. And of course, to speak about the digital marketing industry and its specific features.

The topic of her talk was “Multilingual and multimarket brand strategies, and how to create opportunities in the digital era”. Jennifer Baccou, Multilingual Content Lead, covered the importance of languages in the digital marketing industry to create global campaigns that reach consumers, and how targeting the top 10 languages is insufficient as different markets have different shopping behaviours. She also defined the role of the Content Analyst as a brand guardian, a translation technologist, a digital marketer and an SEO expert!
