Scam Alert: Fake Job Optimization App Using Locaria’s Name & Logo

Dear network, 

It has been brought to our attention that scammers have copied the current Locaria name and logo and have created fake microsites such as https://www.joblocari.com. They are reaching out to job seekers via WhatsApp and Telegram regarding Job Optimization App opportunities, before registering via a click fraud program and asking for escalating payments.

Please note that Locaria DOES NOT hire talent via unofficial communication platforms and that we DO NOT require payment to be considered for any of our projects. We have no involvement as a business in the area of app optimisation. 

Scammers have been reaching out to job seekers via WhatsApp and Telegram (usually using a +1 dialling code). Please do not engage with anyone who uses these platforms to communicate, and reach out to the Locaria Vendor Management team (vendor.management@locaria.com) if in doubt. 

Here’s what to look out for:

•  Locaria only operates via its official website www.locaria.com and only has emails that use the @Locaria.com domain. 
•  We do not provide ‘App Optimisation’ services, this is almost always a click fraud program which draws individuals in by promising future fake returns. 
•  Please note that we do not require payment to be considered for projects, and our staff will not request that you provide personal information, financial details, or passwords, over the telephone, email, WhatsApp, or Telegram. 
•  We conduct business almost entirely in English, and in some instances Ukrainian, but do not operate in French, where we believe scammers are focussing their targeting. 
•  Should you receive any suspicious communication, please do not respond and notify our Vendor Management team as soon as possible on vendor.management@locaria.com 

If you have been scammed, we recommend you reach out to your bank to understand fraud policies. Locaria are actively reporting fake microsites to domain hosters and Google, and have published social/blog updates to gain awareness to those who are being contacted.
