Explaining the legal bases we rely on

The law on data protection sets out a number of different reasons for which a company may collect and process your personal data, including:

    Consent

In specific situations, we can collect and process your data with your consent, for example, when you tick a box to receive email newsletters or other information from Locaria.

If the law requires us to, we may need to collect and process data relating to our Linguists, for example in relation to keeping financial records and accounting for tax.

    Legitimate interest

In specific situations, we require your data to pursue our legitimate interests in a way which might reasonably be expected as part of running our business and which does not materially impact your rights, freedom or interests. For example, we may use data which you have submitted to us in order to contact you to explore how Locaria can work with your business or to provide updates on the services provided by Locaria.

How do we protect your information

The information that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us or by a data processor appointed by us to undertake processing on our behalf. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer and the storing and/or processing of your personal data on these servers. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Appropriate security measures will be adopted to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. However, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet is inherently unsecure and that we cannot guarantee the security of data you send over the internet.

Whenever we collect or process your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
