Approval route for print, POS, OOH and digital

What is POS and print artwork adaptation

Artwork adaptation turns one campaign key visual into print-ready materials for every store, street and market.

POS and print artwork adaptation takes the approved key visual and toolkit from your creative agency and adapts it for each market’s physical formats: shelf strips, wobblers, displays, posters, press ads, outdoor sites and trade materials. Copy is localised, legal and pricing details are changed, layouts are rebuilt for local sizes, and every file is prepared to the printer’s specification.

Artworking, adaptation or translation? Translation changes the words. Artworking prepares files for print. Adaptation does both and rebuilds the layout so the design still works when the copy, sizes and requirements change.

Why it matters: when every market briefs its own agency, in-store creative drifts away from the campaign, the same artwork is rebuilt many times, and errors in claims or pricing are found after print, when they are most expensive to fix.

Decentralised vs centralised in-store creative

Local teams know their shoppers. Without a shared system, their materials pull the brand in different directions.

Physical formats we adapt

Campaign materials for every place your shoppers, customers and partners see the brand.

POS AND POSM TOOLKITS

Shelf strips, wobblers, barkers, product presenters and display units, with toolkits that map how the key visual adapts to each in-store zone.

PRINT AND OUT-OF-HOME

Press ads, posters, billboards and transit sites adapted for local sizes, languages and regulations. We adapt the creative; your media agency books the space.

TRADE, DEALER AND HORECA

Distributor sales sheets, dealership showroom materials and bar and restaurant point of sale.

PACKAGING-RELATED CAMPAIGN ASSETS

Promotional sleeves, on-pack campaign graphics and gift packs that carry the campaign onto the shelf.

What changes from market to market

Adapting physical creative is more than swapping the language. These are the details we check for every market and format.

Language and copy fit

Copy localised or transcreated by in-market linguists and fitted to each format, so a headline that works on a 48-sheet still works on a shelf strip.

Legal lines, claims and mandatory copy

Health, alcohol, promotional and regulatory copy that differs by market, supplied or approved by your teams and checked before release.

Pricing, offers and promotional mechanics

Currencies, price formats, offer wording and terms adapted to each retailer and market.

Range, packs and retailer formats

Product line-ups and pack shots matched to what each market sells, with layouts rebuilt for local retailer and display sizes.

Print specifications

Bleed, crop marks, colour profiles and file formats prepared to each printer’s requirements.

Brand and colour consistency

Colour profiles and proofs matched across the printers in each market, so the brand looks the same on every shelf and site.

What you get

Print-ready files your local printers can use straight away.

Print-ready PDFs with bleed and crop marks, layered open files for late changes, colour profiles matched to each printer, and toolkits and placement guides that show local teams how materials go in store. We work with your printers or print management partner rather than replacing them.

Print and POS run in the same system as your digital and video assets, so in-store materials stay aligned with creative versioning for social and display, and with post-production pack changes in your films. Image and talent permissions for each market can be checked through our usage rights management service.

FAQs

Every beautiful relationship begins with a simple hello. So let’s chat. It might be the start of something.

What is POS artwork adaptation?

POS artwork adaptation takes the approved key visual and toolkit for a campaign and adapts it for each market’s point-of-sale formats, languages, legal requirements and print specifications, ready for local production.

What is the difference between artworking, adaptation and translation?

Translation changes the words. Artworking prepares files for print. Adaptation combines both and rebuilds the layout so the design still works when copy, sizes and local requirements change.

Do you print the materials?

We deliver print-ready artwork and work with your printers or print management partner. We prepare every file to the printer’s specification so local production runs smoothly.

What files do we receive?

Print-ready PDFs with bleed and crop marks, layered open files, the colour profiles your printers need, and toolkits or placement guides for local teams.

How do you handle local legal copy and claims?

Your teams supply or approve the legal lines, claims and mandatory copy for each market. We fit them to every format and check them before files are released.

Do you handle print for trade and distributor environments?

Yes. We adapt materials for car dealership showrooms, HoReCa venues and distributor sales teams as well as retail formats.

What is a POSM toolkit?

A POSM toolkit is a visual guide for a physical retail launch. It maps how key visuals adapt to each in-store zone and display format, so local teams can order and install the right materials.

Will print and POS stay aligned with digital and OOH?

Yes. Print, POS, out-of-home and digital assets are adapted in the same centralised system and approval route, so the campaign looks consistent wherever shoppers see it.

Do you create the original campaign?

No. Locaria adapts existing creative. We take the master artwork from your creative agency or in-house team and make it work in every market, format and language.
